Hey everyone, welcome to the newest episode of the Salted Podcast. I hope you all are having an amazing week. I’m so
to be here with you to talk about Jesus today and how to overcome one of the most difficult things that I think we all struggle with as we walk in faith is just putting our 100 % trust in Jesus. And as we move into this topic today,
I pray in Jesus name that the Lord would encourage challenge and just ignite your heart and faith for whatever you’re walking through in this season
and that he would just give you the truth and words and revelation you need to help you get through this season of difficulty that you may be walking through into the other side
as you wait for him to bring you into the promised land. All right. So today in this podcast episode, I will dive into how to combat an enemy that is so prevalent today. One that if we allow it has the power to rob us of our joy.
peace and derail our faith aka fear or what i like to call it as false evidence appearing real feal and god gave me a word for this year of 2025 actually rest and at first when i heard this word immediately i thought of physical rest which does make sense with the busyness of life you know me having two kids a three-year-old a six-month-old
husband and the craziness of starting this podcast but the Lord showed me that and said that although yes I need to sometimes slow down and take care of myself so that I can be that much more of a better vessel that he can pour out for others but he was also calling me to a biblical spiritual rest like in Hebrews 4 a blessed assurance that lets go and lets God fully trusting and faith all things over to him
letting him be my God, my strength, as I sit and be still. A call for the present for me to not allow my fear, doubt, or unbelief to harden my heart like the Israelites in the wilderness whose disbelief and doubt kept them from the promised land. A call to lay down all of my challenges, dreams, fears, and control, taking my hands and faith off the steering wheel and putting on the Holy Spirit pilot mode so I can see
God’s glory and dig deeper wells of faith for what he has for me as I move into a new season, new decade, new ministry, especially even after turning 40 at the beginning of the year. And
Biblical rest is a heart’s perspective that helps us seek to cease from our own striving and trust in God’s work, overcoming fear with faith. And
As we take a look and reflect on our own walks of faith right now, I am sure that many of you are walking through an uncertain season where your circumstances, challenges, uncertainties may seem unsurmountable, impossible, or just plain hard. But what fear is and what it ultimately comes down to is our struggle to trust in the promises and goodness of God in our lives, fully surrendering every part of our lives into his faithful hands, believing that he is for us,
and that for those who love God and are called to his purpose, Romans 8 28, that he is using everything for our good. You know, maybe you’re struggling with fear of failure or fear of success, fear of rejection, fear of being alone, or perhaps fear of a recent diagnosis, or even worse, concern or fear for the welfare of your children.
Whatever it may be, I know that it’s so easy to fall into the trap of agreeing and believing in the lies of the enemy when it makes us unravel in fear when he tries to make false evidence appear real. Now there is so much we can talk about when it comes to fear. We could talk about our natural nervous systems function and fight or flight to respond to stressful situations, the need to walk in the healthy fear of God and the difference that kind of fear is to the fear that causes stress and chronic anxiety.
affected millions of people today or even go into how the demonic spirit of fear manifests itself and how the Lord delivered me from
25 years of his oppression. But that is for another day and another episode. But today, I focus on how to overcome the fear that partners with unbelief and doubt that tries to come up in trial and derail our faith when we don’t take our thoughts captive in obedience to Christ. Fear that stems from what is called vain imagination or again, false evidence appearing real, planted in the midst of our minds by our adversary.
fiery darts as described by the apostle Paul in Ephesians 6, 16 that comes at the best of us to derail us from believing God’s best for us by focusing on the possible worst. And
If you are in a girl, get out of your head season and back into God’s word. This podcast episode is for you.
Many believe as Christians we should be perfect in faith believing they are less than if they have moments of fear, doubt, or unbelief that based on their knowledge of scripture that they should be unwavering and full of steadfastness 24-7. But I want to encourage you that everyone struggles from time to time in the fight with the kingdom of darkness.
As Christians, every day like it or not, we are right smack in the middle of a spiritual battle undergoing warfare. Although it can affect us by what we sometimes experience physically in our outward circumstances, the heart of the spiritual battle every moment of the day, especially during our trials is in our minds. we are told in Ephesians 6 10,
We don’t fight against flesh and blood, but against every spiritual principality of darkness. But we are given clear instructions through God’s word how to protect ourselves and fight back.
Today, I want to teach you how to overcome fear with faith. We know that one of the ways to fight the spiritual battle of the mind is that we are to put on the armor of God.
The belt of God’s truth to remind us of who God is, the helmet of our salvation remembering who we are in Christ, and the authority and power given to us through our salvation. The breastplate of righteousness representing a heart that seeks to obey and live for God. The sandals of peace that encourages us to pursue peace with everyone. And the sword of the spirit which pierces our hearts to be wholeheartedly devoted to the Lord.
But today I want to specifically focus on how to lift up our shields of faith to combat the fiery darts of the wicked one. The darts that seem so subtle but if left unchecked can wound us deeply. Ephesians 6.18 says, above all, take up the shield of faith.
whereth we shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
I love the excerpt from Spiritual Gems about the shield of faith. Paul uses Greek words to explain the supernatural empowerment that occurs when a believer uses the shield of faith. When a believer lifts his shield high and holds it out in front of him where it belongs, that shield divinely energizes the believer to stand bravely against every assault of the devil. That shield of faith becomes dynamically and supernaturally empowered to act as an impenetrable wall of defense against the enemy’s tactics. In other words, faith is the shield to the believer.
now what’s so awesome is that the word quench actually in Greek means to quench by dousing or to extinguish by drowning in water. It actually refers to the water soaked shield of Roman soldiers. And you see before Roman soldiers went out to battle, they purposely soaked their shields in water until they were completely water saturated.
The soldiers did this because they knew the enemy would be shooting fire-bearing arrows in their direction. If a shield was dry, it was possible for it to be set on fire when struck. But if this vital piece of armor was water-soaked, the flames would be extinguished even if an arrow penetrated its heavily saturated surface. So how does this apply to us as believers? Well, Romans 10, 17 says that our faith is increased by hearing the word of God. In Ephesians 5, 26, the word of God is likened to water.
So as we regularly submit ourselves to the word of God, we soak our faith with the word just as Roman soldiers soak their shields in water. And when our faith becomes word saturated or word soaked, it becomes just like the soldiers’ water saturated shield. In other words, it will be so heavily inundated with the water of God’s word that even if a fiery dart pierces our shield, the huge amount of word in us will extinguish the flames and lies given to us by the adversary and put up
potentially damaging situation.
The word’s fiery darts are actually from the Greek word, belos. It referred to an arrow with its tip wrapped with fabric soaked in flammable fluid so it would burn with hot and angry flames. And the famous Greek writer, Thucydides, uses Greek word, belos to depict specifically made long slender arrows that outwardly looked harmless.
However, the hollow interior of the arrow was filled with flammable fluids upon impact exploded into a raging fire. And this last arrow is most likely the picture that Paul had in mind when he wrote about the fiery darts of the wicked. And you know, often when the devil strikes us, his attack looks inconsequential at first, like harmless little arrows that can do little damage.
But when those arrows strike into the heart or emotions, they often explode and set human passions aflame, causing a minor issue to develop into a fierce flaming situation. And the damage done in such a moment is so serious.
And all of it though could have been avoided if the shield of faith had been held high and wrinkly doused in the water and truth of God’s word. In my life, a fiery dart that penetrates my heart can be summed up by my feelings as if I’m spiraling down a rabbit hole because of believing an enemy lie that over days or weeks implodes into fear, anger, bitterness, doubt, unbelief, and a heavy burden I create for myself I don’t need to carry.
There is no doubt that the devil will try to shoot his arrows in our direction, causing anxiety, doubt, unbelief and fear. But having a shield of faith that is soaked in the Word of God gives us double protection against these attacks. It guarantees that the enemy’s fiery darts will have little or no effect even if they get close enough to strike our hearts, minds or emotions in the midst of trials and situations we find ourselves facing every day. But taking up our shields of faith is an intentional decision to place our whole hearted trust in God.
is one that doesn’t just know but believes the truth of God’s word and allows it to shape our thinking. The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, O Lord, for you, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9, 10. Trusting God with every situation because we remember his power, provision, and goodness, and his love for us.
and the fact that the battle has already been won is what gets us through into our promised land and we overcome in victory.
Now figuratively, there are so many giants that we’re going to come up against with our worldly eyes and reasoning that seem insurmountable. But whatever giants we are facing that seem impossible to overcome, standing between us and the promised land, we must be strong and courageous, not discouraged or afraid, believing God is with us, goes before us, and he remembers us.
remembering again that if He is for us, who could be against us, and that through Jesus on the cross, our victory has already been won.
Now if you remember the story of Caleb and Joshua from Numbers 13 and 14, it provides a profound lesson on how we can approach our circumstances with faith over fear. In the biblical story, Moses sent 12 spies to explore the promised land and provide a report on its potential. All 12 witnesses saw the same land, encountered the same terrain, and observed the same inhabitants, yet their perspectives were strikingly different. Ten spies came back with a fearful account, fixating on the giants and the seemingly impenetrable fortified cities.
They remarked, We seem like crass hoppers in our own eyes and we look the same to them. Numbers 1333. Their fear quickly spread among the Israelites, leading to discouragement and doubt about God’s promise. And you know, this report shows us that sometimes fear can appear as sound wisdom when we forget the power and nature of God in the midst of his will. To anyone who lives through worldly reasoning, large giants guarding the promised land seemed impossible.
But this wisdom is one that lacks faith in and knowledge of our holy creator and all-powerful mighty God. It is one that focuses on the ways of man versus the ways of God. And I remember listening to a sermon one day about God’s kingdom by Bill Johnson. Not sure about your opinions about him, but this sermon was so good and biblically sound and everything spoke to my heart. He talks about how some things only make sense in light of eternity.
and that the spiritual battle is a fight over our logic and reasoning, how we think and see Romans 12.1. And one of the best scriptural stories that shows our humanistic tendency to trust only what we see, our tendency toward fear, our tendency to see scarcity versus abundance, is how the disciples react into the boat.
after Jesus performs the amazing miracle provision when he feeds 5,000 people from five loaves and two fishes.
the disciples are talking amongst themselves about not having enough bread after Jesus fed a large crowd. Jesus asked disciples, why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see your understand? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes but fail to see and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember when I broke the five loaves for the 5,000, how many basket fulls of pieces did you pick up? 12 they replied.
And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of peas did I pick up?” They answered, seven. He said to them, do you still not understand? Essentially questioning why they are worried and discussing the lack of food, implying that they should have greater faith and understanding given the miracles they have witnessed with him and that their heart seemed hardened to the truth.
He is rebuking them for their lack of faith and understanding, suggesting they should remember the previous miracle of feeding the multitude with a few loaves. This phrase usually signifies a lack of spiritual insight and willingness to fully believe in Jesus’ power. And many times, because our hearts are hardened and because we tend to look at the reasoning with the ways of the world,
Jesus tells us that we need to watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees.
Leaven many times in scripture refers to and symbolizes influence. He warns his disciples to not be influenced by the ways of Herod, the political system that acknowledges God but doesn’t put any trust in him.
or the Phariseeical system, the religious system that’s full of legalism but no movement of the spirit.
but instead that they are to continually renew their minds to the ways of the kingdom as they just witnessed. A mind that is influenced by seasonable reasoning and the leaven of this world that reasons without the all-powerful, all-knowing, merciful, and loving God, one that isn’t transformed or renewed by the ways of God, heart-hearted and unbelief fear, forgetting the miraculous ways of the kingdom, is one that is influenced by the leaven of the Pharisees in this world.
And there are so many instances where I can talk about overcoming the lies of fear in my life. So much testimony of God being so faithful.
but I feel led to talk about one in particular. You know, when I got pregnant with our second child, our little baby girl Eden, when we went to our initial checkup at the office, the doctor seemed very concerned about the size of the yolk sac, which if you don’t know anything about OB-GYN, it’s what ultimately becomes the placenta. And many times if the yolk sac is larger and the feed is small, there’s significant percentage increase in likelihood of a miscarriage and the baby not making it to term.
I was told there in that office that there were cases where the babies were just fine, but the doctor seemed in our case to talk as if this was probably the last time I was going to see him for this baby more than likely unless the baby grew miraculously bigger upon the next ultrasound that I probably would lose the baby.
And I remember leaving the office so distraught, full of fear, based on the reasonable evidence before me that statistically this baby would not make it to term. And immediately, yes, I prayed to the Lord to help us believe in the faith of the word he’d given us in a dream, along with a word that he’d show me that I would have a son with a daughter.
and that I would raise them in the spirit together.
I shifted my eyes off the reasonable evidence.
back onto Jesus and what he had shown me and his promises and his word. And I remember faithfully that he had called my husband and I to walk in obedience to try for this little girl and that he promises that he is a life giver and a healer and a redeemer. And I prayed and prayed standing firm on the goodness, the faithfulness
the mercy of God believing in faith that he had called us to have this child
But man, was it a fight standing on the promise of his word, pushing back the fiery thirst of fear and the enemy and the wisdom of the world that seemed so reasonable that led me astray.
Now I would have great moments in the day believing in faith, the goodness and miracles of God, remembering his faithfulness so many times in the past in my life and his words standing firm in his character and when I felt he spoke to me, but also in my moments of weakness, trying to find the statistical evidence on Google that all things would go my way, searching the wisdom of the world to try to fit my own circumstances. I struggled back and forth trying to stand firm on God’s word.
And you know, I already had walked through the wilderness waiting for my first born after six years of infertility. I didn’t want to go through another where he would take this one away. But it’s so important that we must determine God’s voice versus Satan’s and ask the Lord for Spirit-led discernment. And my mentor would always say, God’s truth, what is God’s truth saying? But sometimes it’s not so obvious and Satan’s voice may seem the most prudent or sensible.
Now Jesus reminds us that Satan’s ways are in alignment with the ways of man versus the ways of God. But also in the Hebrew interpretations of Genesis 3, 1 describes Satan, although some interpretations use the word crafty, the actual translation is prudent.
One might even say it’s sensible or wise. And so we must be extra discerning, binding our minds so that if Christ saturate as discussed in the Word of God through its perspective and thinking.
Okay, bear with me, I know we’re going between two biblical stories, but God reminds his disciples that even in what he showed them about himself through his supernatural provision and miracles, not once but twice defeating the 5,000, that they still had hardened hearts of unbelief and would doubt God.
and that instead of reasoning about what they had not, focusing on the scarcity or the lack, that they should have been focusing on the limitless abundance available to them through faith in the Kingdom of God.
many of us have had God miraculously provide but then in another similar season you still doubt with unbelief and fear in the next. It’s because we haven’t reset our mindsets from the sensible limited minds of the world instead of the supernatural abundance that comes from our belief in God.
Now think about the Israelites after being delivered from Egypt witnessing the parting of the Red Sea, God’s tangible cloud by day, fire by night, and supernatural bread that fell from heaven and water from rocks, but then walk in fear about large people that look like giants. Many times our sight and hearing are limited, but we can always with intentionality remember what God has done for us in the past to refuel our faith and renew our mind.
Building our faith is also not allowing the use of the ways and reason of this world to limit us and lead us into unbelief based on the logical ways of science and what we can see, feel, touch with our senses. It’s also learning to live through a Romans 12, 1 transform mind, remembering that the Kingdom of Heaven is here and is one that as Jesus displayed is supernatural, one of signs, wonders, miracles, and that God still performs miracles today, either sovereignly or co-laboring with his people.
And looking back on my own situation and story, God showed me.
Supernaturally through a dream that he had given me a week before That I would have to stand firm and dig deep into my walls of faith as I was about to walk through an uncertain circumstance or trial
that he was the one who no mission is impossible to him and that he would overcome in all things and that I would overcome the situation and that I would
walk in peace, joy and reassurance and that this was allowing me to grow in my faith for him to increase my capacity to rely and depend on him, but that I would have a full and successful pregnancy. And so I stood firm on God’s word and truth.
And believe it or not,
when I walked into that office the next week for that next ultrasound, God had miraculously grown my sweet girl exponentially in size, like five times the size that she was before. And the providers were just,
they were lost for words on how well that she did. And I have her in my arms today, seven months later, and she is a healthy, beautiful baby girl.
And I’m just using this as an example to show how the reasoning, the statistics show one thing and they seem so solid and, so reasonable based on what the evidence that I’m looking at shows. But that also it’s absent of God’s goodness, his faithfulness,
his power, and that he is alive and real today.
weaving in and out of our circumstances to prove himself faithful.
for him to get all the glory.
You know the Lord reminded me about the story in the gospels where the disciples see Jesus walking on water and Peter takes a step of faith trusting Jesus to step out of the boat and walk to him. That it was when he took his eyes off of Jesus and started to look at the wind and the waves and storm around him that he began to sink. Influenced by the logical reasoning that told him he would drown. Forgetting in an instant the promises to character
and the power and the presence of Jesus standing before him who was right there with him ready to save him and help him supernaturally, the one who the wind and the waves would obey, who had the power and ability to rebuke the storm and to save. And that when he took his eyes off of Jesus, that’s when he began to sing.
Alright, I digress.
but moving on back to the story in numbers about Caleb and Joshua and the 10 other witnesses that were sent into the promised land
to evaluate the status of God’s promises. Caleb and Joshua saw the same land through the eyes of faith. Instead of focusing on the giants, however, they focused on God’s power and his promises. And Caleb bully declared, we should go up and take possession of the land for we can certainly do it. Numbers 1330. And Joshua echoed this confidence, reminding the people, the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.
These two men chose to see possibilities where others saw problems, victory where others saw defeat, and God’s faithfulness where others saw failure. And fear often magnifies our problems and minimizes our faith. It causes us to focus on our lack rather than God’s limitless provision, abundance, and power. And it makes us focus on the worst versus God’s best. The ten spies focus on the size of the giants, but Caleb and Joshua focus on the size of their God.
The giants may have been strong, but they forgot that their God was stronger, and the cities may have been fortified, but they had forgotten that God’s promises were steadfast and unwavering.
The key difference between them was their perspective. Caleb and Joshua understood that the battle was not theirs to fight alone. It belonged to the Lord and they believed in faith that they would see victory. Now what gave Caleb and Joshua such unwavering confidence? It was their trust in God’s promises. God had already told the Israelites that he was going to give them the land. This was not a matter of if but when. And yet the ten spies allowed their fear to drown out God’s words.
Caleb and Joshua on the other hand clung to these promises even when the odds seemed stacked against them. And God’s promises are just as true for us today. He promises us never to leave or forsake us, Deuteronomy 31,6, that He gives us strength in our weakness, 2 Corinthians 12,9, that He promises to work all things together for our good, Romans 8,28. Now these promises are not dependent on our circumstances or abilities. They are grounded in God’s unchanging character.
But we must be diligent to enter the spiritual rest of blessed assurance, a rest that trusts in the promises of God as already referred to in Hebrews 4, in which the author describes the failure of God’s people to enter the promised land because of their fear, unbelief, and disobedience.
I remember one of my dear friends telling me that
Every time the enemy comes and tries to shoot those fiery darts at our hearts, eliciting fear and doubt, it’s another opportunity to choose faith and to strengthen our faith and our trust in the Lord. It’s an opportunity to exercise our faith muscles in trial
And many times using our faith muscles is uncomfortable and difficult. And girl, you know, I rather run a marathon than lift weights in the gym. But I know that by actually lifting weights and breaking down and struggling through
times in the gym, that is what’s making me stronger. And
spiritually it’s what’s making us stronger in the Lord better able to praise better able to stand firm in God’s and better able to resist the lies and darts of the evil one okay but Beth what if I’m walking in a season where I haven’t been able to arm up with my shield of faith and the enemy has caught me out of normal time and my shield wasn’t soaked and my guard was down okay so good question
We are to diligently tear down the doubt, fear, and lies from satan that do not align with God’s word.
Taking every thought captive immediately in obedience to Jesus and not allowing thoughts or agreeing with the lies that go against God’s character and word. Remembering and discerning the voice of God over the voice of Satan. Remembering that God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
You know, I found it is also being intentional and not allowing fear to go even further and progress into full-blown anxiety by wanting to take things in our own hands with a fix it mentality or control. When we aren’t resting in faith like in Hebrews 4, we become exhausted trying to not only worry about a situation, but also at times believing we are the answer, trying to take control of it with our own hands and strength.
I know I’m always having to lay it down over and over again.
I have these moments of faith and increased trust given by the Holy Spirit and His grace, allowing me to let whatever it is go into the hands of God. But then usually in my weakness, false sense of I can do it on my own and help God along, can’t wait for him any longer mentality, I take it back up again. And usually it causes me that much more anxiety. And I love the quote by Elizabeth Elliott that once said, fear arises when we imagine that everything depends on us.
I know many times when I am agreeing with a lie that is producing fear within me that I start to worldly reason and start to think of a backup plan in my own control if God doesn’t come through, which is ridiculous. And as I talk about it in another episode, we all have a tendency towards self-sufficiency and control, but it’s because it all starts in the Garden of Eden when we as humans believe our ways and wisdom were better than God’s, blinded that God’s ways are those for our good and protection.
I know when I get caught I start to, in my mind and my foolish reasoning and worldly wisdom, start thinking of worst case scenarios so I will be prepared.” And then my vain imagination starts to align with these scenarios and why it will end that way, which leads me further into fear, unrest, obsession, and grief.
Sister, we have a choice each day on the battlefield if we want victory and what we allow to continually occupy our minds. Satan is the father of lies like a lion seeking for someone he can devour to believe his lies and derail a child of God in their faith. But each time he comes at us using vain imagination to try and still fear, it’s actually again an opportunity to intentionally choose, exercise and grow our faith. But it’s remembering who God is, his character.
his faithfulness and our identity in Christ that also strengthens us. Not only remembering what he’s done for his people in God’s word like the splitting of the Red Sea and raising Jesus from the dead, but also with each subsequent trial remembering what he’s done miraculously for us in our own lives.
Now I remember one morning getting with God, actually the next morning after our ultrasound and crying out to him to help me remember that he was with me to renew my mind to who he was and always would be, my way maker, my promise keeper and my miracle worker.
But more than anything, God wanted me to remember. He wanted me to remember of his unswerving faithfulness who answered my prayer three years before and gave me my beautiful baby boy who saved me and my husband and one of the biggest financial trials of our marriage just two years prior and all the other ways that he saved us even before I came to know Jesus in so many ways, reminding me of his faithfulness time and time again, reminding me that he was the God who split the Red Sea, who sees his people.
who heals their diseases and who sets the captives free
Trials don’t just test us, but they are also there to level up our faith. Supernatural experiences and powerful encounters with God are gifts given to us to train our eyes to see his ways and influence the renewing of our minds.
it is a lens we are to view our future circumstances and everyday life as He teaches us His supernatural ways. Remembering what He’s done for us in the past is how God helps us prepare to deal with new trials and challenges in the future.
Jesus says that we only need faith as small as a mustard seed to move mountains. But it’s having a renewed mindset that is the good soil for the faith to grow. The renewed mind is the mind of Christ in which we all have been given, Philippians 2.5, and it’s to prove the will of God and create a different reference point on how we are to live.
Our anxiety often stems from how much the challenges of this world influence our thoughts rather than the principles of the Kingdom of God. It depends on the extent to which we believe that Jesus is at the heart of our situation and mindset.
You know, sometimes it’s just crying out to the Lord for his strength, his presence. And let me tell you, if we seek his face, he reveals himself to us. And many times when things seem overwhelming or I’m fearful, he knows I simply just need to know his presence and the supernatural awareness that he is with me and is there. And maybe that’s all you are needing today. Just to know that Jesus is there so you can rest
knowing that he sees you and hears you and understands your prayers, knowing that whatever giant you are facing, you aren’t alone. My question to you sister is, will you walk in faith or fear? Without faith we learn in scripture that’s impossible to please God, Hebrews 11 six,
Remembering that no matter what the doctor may say no matter the diagnosis the x-ray the lab results the therapist’s evaluation No matter what they say that God’s Word tells us
that we believe not in the testimony of men, but the testimony of God. 1 John 5,
And sometimes they believe the Lord allows us to walk through times that seem as lack within this world to serve as opportunities to first hand witness the miracle power of God and the supernatural muddens through his kingdom
to level up in our faith awaiting the next. So sister, are you ready today to enter into God’s blessed assurance and spiritual rest for 2025? Can you give God the steering wheel and faith and move out of your strength for more of His? Have you hardened your heart in unbelief embracing the influence of the ways of the world instead of the ways of God?
I’m here today to exhort you to once again remember who God is, his miracles, his power, his wisdom and sovereignty and to reflect not only on his miracles in the gospel, but all that he has done for you in your history, in your life, so that you would believe
and that in your current circumstances that he is still just as capable and willing to do it again.
Perhaps this is where God will move in his power as you rest. And as you let go and surrender that you will see his power take over and break through for you. Ask God what slight adjustments you can make to posture yourself and rest to receive and be refreshed. What areas of your life is fear unnecessarily tormenting you or wearing you down? God will never leave you or forsake you. If God is for you, who could be against you? His plans are to prosper you and give you a hope and a future.
He is unswervingly faithful, compassionate, full of loving kindness who sees you, hears you, and answers your prayers. Choose faith over the lies that are instilling fear in your mind today. Choose to transition your perspective to see your trials through the eternal eyes of an all-powerful, all-knowing, and compassionate loving God. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear, I will help you. Isaiah 41.13.
Have a blessed week.
I can’t wait to be with you here again soon.
