As this season comes to a close, I realize God is calling me and you into a season of rest. In a world that never stops, resting can feel counterintuitive, but it’s where we find Jesus most clearly. Today, I want to share what it means to embrace his gift of rest and trust in his timing. Let’s get to it. Salty begins right now.

Beth Barlet (01:24)
Hey family, how is everyone doing this week? I am so glad to be back with all of you again today. This has just been such an amazing season and to all my faithful listeners, I just want to say thank you for all your support, for all your encouragement, and for listening to me for what I feel the Lord has given me for this season.
I don’t know if you guys listened to the previous episode, but I kind of shared what the Lord has just been doing in my heart, how he has just been wooing me back to a place of deep intimacy and actually a place of rest. And he has just shown me in the season that man that I am his and he is mine and he is just my first and only true love, my beloved and my bridegroom.
And his love for me just is, just, transcends all things I could ever imagine. And that nothing, no height, no depth, no angel, no demon, no realm of darkness can separate. No lie can separate his love for me. And I’m just in this season where he is just wooing me back into the secret place. And I really feel that he is really showing me that
this new season that he’s bringing me into is one where I’ll be once again able to dig wells of faith with him. Dig wells with him of intimacy where he is just pouring life-giving water into me through his spirit, through his power, through his presence and an increased revelation of his love for me. And it has just been
such a fruitful past couple weeks as he has just been drawing me back into deep intimacy with him. And not that I haven’t been praying or that I haven’t been speaking with him, but this is just another new level, new season, which he’s had me in a couple years before when I was walking through some of the darkest times that he’s now bringing me into again. And when I heard him tell me that this is what was coming, I just, just,
went into this Holy Spirit laughter and elated joy, just knowing that this season is coming around again. And if you listen to the last episode where I was talking with my friend, Catherine, about pioneering, you know, there is a season of work, but there’s also many times God’s calling us to a season of rest. And so I guess I’m just beating around the bush, just saying that this episode will be my last for a while.
I feel the Lord is calling me to put a pause on salted, and just get back in, just rest in him and rest in his presence and just soak, soak like a seed that germinates in order to just reroute, into his love, reroute into his presence, into his truth so that I may be able to grow more in the spirit and bear more fruit for the kingdom.
whether it be to speak more to you guys or for something else in ministry that he’s calling me to. And I feel that this season has been so fruitful that I truly believe that he had called me to be a voice for you guys, that the Lord has just brought me to you for such a time as this. And I pray that this podcast was just so fruitful and that he used my words to touch your heart, to encourage your heart.
to inspire, to convict, to exhort your heart, exhort you into a deeper place with the Holy Spirit, a heart that is more on fire for the Lord, that is more consecrated for his kingdom, that I helped you reset your eyes back on the kingdom of heaven from the distractions and the craziness of this world, or that I encouraged you that God loves you and sees you.
and has never left your side and has been with you or that I inspired you to go higher and deeper or pursue what the Lord has been asking of you for some time now and to dive into so much more. But I really had been feeling that the past couple of weeks or month that the Lord is just calling me back to instead of being so busy, busy, busy and going this past season, kind of like Martha just fulfilling the call he had for me.
to speak that I think now I’m to sit at his feet just like Mary and just soak in more and more of his word and his truth and to once again realign what his plans are for me in the next season. But like a bride and bridegroom, just to enjoy him once again without having lots of work or busyness that sometimes can lead me away.
distracting me from just surrendering all of my time, all of my focus on hearing from him like never before. And, you know, I felt like the Lord say that he wanted me to finish out 20 episodes and 20 significant in scripture. And he really, he’s so good.
He led me to the scripture about Jacob where he went to work for his uncle to escape Esau. And it was actually 20 years where he worked for his uncle Laban before God called him back to his homeland to pursue another season in his life. And I felt like the Lord right now has me really focused, especially in a transition where he has us, me and my family.
Upcoming in the next year to once again calling me back fully home To focus on my family to focus on my husband to focus 100 % all of me on my children and even though I Was able to fit everything on a schedule on a piece of paper I was able to set certain hours of the day to talk to you guys and to get out what the Lord had been calling me to for the season that You know, I feel that
You know, many times, you know, I may not have been able to 100 % be focused, on my children in the season or on my husband and 100 % with my focus on the home. And I feel like this is new season that the Lord has been bringing me fully into to walk fully in my divine design as a mom and as a wife without any distraction. Because I think we need to be more in line with the foundation that he’s building.
as he’s calling us into a new season and a new location for our family. And so I just feel led to just thank you and get on here just to tell you how grateful I am that you took the time to listen to me speak for what I feel the Lord has called me just to share. And I just pray that
You would be blessed in this next season, wherever that may be. And just to reiterate how faithful God is and that he will bring all things to completion in you and that this journey of sanctification, of being salted by fire, by his utmost love for us so that we can be more and more like his son Jesus, although it is hard.
that it is so worth it and he is so worthy. And I just want to encourage you to keep on keeping on and keep your eyes fixed on the prize that awaits us in heaven and to arise, arise with him as he calls your name. Just like Song of Solomon where he is calling his bride to arise, to arise away from the things of this world and to arise away from selfishness, selfish ambition, comfort.
idolatry, things that are holding us back from the fullness of life that can be only found in a deep intimate relationship with Him. To walk in obedience, to know your identity in Christ based on what He did for you on the cross to show how much He loves you and wants you and how accepted you are in the Kingdom of God. But also to walk in the fear of the Lord.
to not lose your saltiness, to stand firm in your convictions and refuse to compromise with the ways around us that surround us in our everyday lives, to stand firm on God’s Word, to continually be renewed by his truth, to set your eyes on things above, but to also have the humility to 100 % surrender and trust in him, to give him
100 % all of who you are to lay down your self-sufficiency and to stand firm on his goodness and his sovereignty. But also to just focus on what he’s called you to walk in full obedience, no matter what the situation looks like, to continually
to your spiritual armor on and stand firm against the kingdom of darkness, to put your armor on against the spiritual warfare that we fight every day in our lives, to set an example in your home for your children to point them fully to Jesus, to set your minds fully on the eternal so that you may prioritize everything in your life for the Lord. These were my desires and I pray
that God used me to fulfill them in yours. And so I pray guys that I just thank you. I pray the Lord will just continue to bless you and keep you. He would continue to turn his face towards you and give you peace, but also to set your heart on fire and a blaze to burn for him in these end times as we await his second coming, which can be any day.
But if this is resonating with you, if God is calling you to the secret place to be with him once again, if you’re feeling dry or burned out or whatnot, just say yes to his call. Say yes, arise with him. Go with him. Don’t be like the bride in SOS, the Song of Solomon who refuses to go and realizes that he is everything that we need. Without him, we are nothing.
And that true joy and the true satisfaction of life is found solely in him. In Jesus name.
if you would just share this podcast with as many women as you can, even though right now I’m taking a pause or break, our ending season one, I’m not sure 100 % where the Lord is calling me next or when there will be a season two, but for all the other episodes that have already been recorded, share them with your friends,
Share it with those who you think would benefit, that would encourage them on their walk with the Lord, that would encourage them to stand firm in their faith and turn from things of this world for more of Jesus. And so I pray you guys have an awesome week and just thank you. Thank you so much. Amen.
